Before real estate, Steve attended undergrad at University of Colorado, Boulder. From there he moved to San Francisco as a bicycle tour guide for five years. With his passion for public transit and alternative modes of transport, Steve completed his MS in Transportation at Northwestern University. After this he moved back to California and has made this his home since 2000.
In 2003, Steve got started in real estate in San Francisco. He started at a time when the market was on an upward trajectory. For the first five years of his career, he witnessed multiple bid situations and a very rapid market appreciation. From 2009-2012, Steve adapted to the market and focused on REOs (foreclosures) and short sales.
Steve specializes in multi-unit buildings, houses and condos in the city and across the bay area.
In addition to helping various buyers and sellers achieve their dreams, he’s bought, renovated and sold his own properties and can help guide you through this daunting process. He will help you find lenders and inspectors, contractors, landscapers, stagers, painters, what ever you need. He’s navigated the DBI, the tax assessor’s office, and the Bureau of Mapping/Streets.
He enjoys volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and has worked on projects in Bayview and Crocker Amazon. He was a big brother in the Big Brother/Big Sister organization. In his free time he is usually out riding his bike in Marin or rowing on the bay around Alcatraz. He also rescued a dog with Rocket Dog Rescue and still supports this wonderful organization. His son is just learning to crawl and has become Steve’s main focus outside of work.
He is a great listener, negotiator, and facilitator.
